Terms of Service

1. Object of the service
Alpha Terminal (hereinafter "the Service") is a web and mobile app (Android, iOS, desktop) providing 46 financial analysis modules powered by 14 third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.) under the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model. These Terms govern Service usage.
2. Access and signup
The Service requires no server account creation. Access is direct from the browser. Local configuration (encrypted vault, API keys, wealth data) stays on the user's device. The paid subscription (€9.99/month) is handled via a third-party payment provider — no personal data collected by Alpha.
3. BYOK model and API key responsibility
The user provides their own API keys for AI and data providers. They are solely responsible for:
- key security (vault password, backup, restoration),
- payment of usage billed directly by providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.),
- compliance with each third-party provider's terms,
- compliance with rate limits imposed by each provider.
Alpha intermediates no payment to AI or data providers — the user pays the provider directly at the official rate.
3 bis. Premium license key — safekeeping
Premium access is unlocked via a unique license key (UUID format) sent by email after payment by the payment provider (Lemonsqueezy). This key is the sole proof of purchase and the only way to activate the app on a new device.
The user is solely responsible for safekeeping their license key. Alpha makes no server-side backup of this key: no recovery system by email, forgotten password, or reset is available.
Recommendations:
- keep the Lemonsqueezy purchase email containing the key,
- store the key in a password manager,
- if lost, contact Lemonsqueezy directly to retrieve the purchase email associated with the transaction.
If the key is permanently lost without possibility of retrieval from Lemonsqueezy, the user must purchase a new subscription. No refund will be granted on this basis.
4. Limitation of liability — Not investment advice
Alpha Terminal is not an investment advisor. AI-generated analyses are educational and technical decision-support tools based on statistical models. They do not constitute personalized advice, nor a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold financial instruments.
No analysis produced by the Service shall be considered financial advice within the meaning of article L. 541-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code. The user remains solely responsible for their investment decisions and consequences. Investing involves risk of capital loss. Past performance does not guarantee future performance.
5. Intellectual property
Source code, prompts, Service architecture, and the Alpha brand are the exclusive property of the publisher. AI-generated analyses belong to the user who produces them. Data usage remains governed by third-party AI and data provider terms.
6. Termination
The subscription is cancelable anytime via the management portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. No personal data stored at Alpha needs to be deleted (since none is collected). The user remains responsible for local data wipe via Settings → Wipe.
7. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts in the publisher's registered office area, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
8. Terms changes
The publisher may modify these Terms at any time. The version in force is the one available at https://alpha-terminal.app/terms-en.html. The last update date appears at the top of the page.
